Student Success Stories from The Box Breakers Student Anthology
Brandilyn Cromer, Class of 2019, Thrive with Pride Scholarship Recipient
When I learned about the Macon County Chief’s Diploma Program from Chief Hart’s post on Facebook, I called her to see if the program was legit and she said yes. Orientation for the program was on a cold, rainy Saturday morning and honestly all I wanted to do was sleep. Chief Hart called and said she was coming to pick me up to make sure that I didn’t miss signing up.
Accepting that ride from Chief Hart changed my life. This program actually gave me a chance to receive my high school diploma rather than my GED.

When we first started homeschooling, my mom used Connections Academy. Even though this school was online, it wasn’t a good fit for me. That’s when my mom found out about the Tiers Free Academy homeschool program.
This program differs from any school that I’ve entered and I was impressed by the structure of the program. For example, I love the fact that students have a whole month to finish one class and on their own time. I also think the program is very well thought out.
