Your Support Matters.The Dr. Annise Mabry Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501 c(3) organization specializing in community economic development and adult literacy. Our outside-the-box approach to learning has allowed us to use education as a springboard to empower youth. Tiers Free Academy is Georgia's only trauma-informed alternative diploma program for homeless LGBTQIA+ youth, sex trafficking survivors, youth aging out of foster care, youth aging out of the public school system, and high school dropouts by providing these individuals with a realistic pathway to earn a high school diploma in a homeschool learning environment. We are also the only community policing resource center in the state.
Since 2016, we have supported more than 400 high school dropouts as they took the leap and became high school graduates. Nearly 50% of these graduates went on to attend technical colleges with a combined total of nearly 80% of all participants entering the workforce. Beyond just the education aspect, we also understand that empowerment comes in many forms, sometimes it is a simple gesture that lets someone know they're cared for. That's why we emphasize community service as well. We partner with ten police departments to support their community outreach programs. Through these partnerships, we were able to provide more than 10,000 toys and 5,000 backpacks to children in need. But we need your help with our efforts.
