The Dr. Annise Mabry Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization specializing in community development. The Foundation provides support in the areas of community development projects, alternative diploma programs, and educational safe spaces for K-12 students.
The vision of the Tiers Free program is to partner with parents or guardians to provide a homeschool high school diploma.
The mission of the Tiers Free Program is to provide an alternative homeschool path to a high school diplomas to students who have aged out or dropped out of public school.
The Tiers Free program is an evidence-based adult literacy model designed to help learners obtain their high school diploma online. The target population for this program are students who present as aged out, dropped out, or who need a homeschool learning environment.
Tiers Free learners are successful in our program because (1) we create educational safe spaces where students learn based on their academic strengths -- not their weaknesses; and, (2) we remove the traditional learning tiers that trap many students in a failing academic cycle. We achieve this not by doing something for them, but by helping them do it for themselves. We work with our students to create achievable goals, offer useful advice, and provide a friendly look over their shoulder.
Our Homeschool High School program help students rebuild academic foundations. These foundations then become the groundwork for a successful launch into either the workforce or college. We also reinforce to them that learning is an ongoing, life-long process for managing their careers. We teach them how to use tools to track their progress, interpret their plan, and measure actual results.
The Tiers Free Academy K-12 Homeschool Program partners with parents who are ready to transition their students away from the public school system and into homeschooling. This program not only provides parents with the full academic curriculum to get started and on-going monthly support throughout the transition.
