This program is open to any law enforcement agency that wants to incorporate an alternative diploma program into their community policing initiatives or within their re-entry program.

Open to any rural resident who does not have a high school diploma. Program graduates will have the opportunity to participate in a full graduation ceremony in June. FEES

Macon County, Georgia was the site of the first Chief's Diploma Program in Georgia. The Macon County Chiefs' Diploma Program operated under Tiers Free Academy through The Dr. Annise Mabry Foundation and was first housed in the Oglethorpe GA Police Department. It was later housed inside the Marshallville Police Department. The program was a joint partnership with the Marshallville Police Department and the Montezuma Police Department with support from the Dollar General Foundation, Flint Energies, International Paper Foundation, The Macon County Chamber of Commerce, the Macon County Board of Education, and South Georgia Technical College. The Macon County Chiefs' Diploma Program will end its pilot study in June 2022 after successfully graduating 136 students. |
